Bourne, Chargers Surging as Postseason Looms
October 28, 2024Edison State Volleyball is riding an 8-match winning streak with postseason play set to begin next week. Sophomore outside hitter Brooklyn Bourne played a large role in four victories over the last week (Oct. 21-28) and earned OCCAC Player of the Week recognition.

Luedeke Steers Chargers to a Pair of League Wins
October 21, 2024Edison State setter Emma Luedeke dished out 90 assists (11.25/set) during two league wins last week. Her efforts were recognized in the form of OCCAC Player of the Week honors. In addition to steering the Charger offense, she also dug 18 balls and registered an ace in both contests.

1,000th Career Assist Nets Weekly Award for Hahn
October 07, 2024Michaela Hahn and the Owens Volleyball earned a 4-set win over Edison State to keep pace with Lorain County atop the conference standings at 6-1. Hahn dished out 29 assists in the victory, surpassing the 1,000 career assists mark in the process. The Express setter added 16 digs and five points (3 aces, 2 kills) during her OCCAC Player of the Week performance.

September 30, 2024Isabella Beck kept the good times rolling for Lorain County Volleyball, earning her second OCCAC Player of the Week award and snagging the fifth such accolade in six weeks for the program.

Weekly Laurel Remains in Elyria
September 23, 2024For the fourth time through five weeks of the 2024 OCCAC Volleyball season, the league’s Player of the Week honor is headed to Lorain County. Gabriella Habeck became the third different Commodore to earn the recognition after her stellar performance during a pair of conference triumphs over Lakeland and Edison State.

Koenig Draws OCCAC’s Recognition Once Again
September 09, 2024Sophomore Lindsey Koenig pushed Owens to three league victories last week (Sept. 2-8), snagging the fourth OCCAC Player of the Week honor of her career after doing so three times as a freshman. She contributed 4.5 points and 2.3 digs per set.
