For the fourth time through five weeks of the 2024 OCCAC Volleyball season, the league’s Player of the Week honor is headed to Lorain County. Gabriella Habeck became the third different Commodore to earn the recognition after her stellar performance during a pair of conference triumphs over Lakeland and Edison State.
The freshman outside hitter contributed significantly on both sides of the net, averaging 4.3 kills and 3.7 digs per set. She terminated no less than 18 kills in either match while attacking at a .272 efficiency rate. Habeck added a service ace in both victories as well.
Lorain County’s previous winners were: Ava Haddix (Aug. 26, Sept. 16) and Isabella Beck (Sept. 2).
