Toledo, OH---Whitmer High School senior Tori Weidinger has signed a letter of intent to play softball for the Express next season.

The 5'9" catcher had a great year for the Panthers this past season. She hit .432 en route to First Team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) and First Team All-District honors at catcher.

She also participated in the Northwest District All-Star Game as a member of the Division I team. In addition to her average, Weidinger totaled 24 runs, five home runs, 21 RBI and one stolen base.

Weidinger was named Second Team All-TRAC as a junior and Second Team All-Toledo City League as a sophomore. 

She was coached by Mark Figliomeni at Whitmer.

Notes

Weidinger joins previous signess Aubrey Geis (C, Toledo Christian High School), Brittany George (3B/SS, Elmwood High School), Kendall Murphy (3B/C, Maumee High School), Lesley Ducat (RHP, Evergreen High School), Alexandra Veres (C, Cardinal Stritch High School) and Chelsea Evans (RHP, Grass Lake High School) as members of the 2013-14 Express softball freshmen class.

The Express softball program finished 24-17 last season. They advanced to the Region XII District G tournament championship game before falling to Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
