Dayton, OH---Jessica Thobe, a sophomore outside hitter for Sinclair Community College, has been named the OCCAC volleyball player of the week for the week ending Sept. 8.

Thobe, who has led Sinclair to a 7-0 start this year (2-0 in the OCCAC), had 28 kills and 24 digs in wins over Edison Community College and Lorain Community College last week. She added three aces and one assist.

Overall this year, Thobe has 117 kills and 110 digs, along with nine aces, seven assisted blocks and three assists.

For all matches played, Thobe is third in the OCCAC in kills and fourth in digs among all OCCAC players. In OCCAC play, she is fourth in each category.

Sinclair, who has lost only three sets in seven matches so far, will host Columbus State Community College tomorrow.
