Herzog, Minarchick Voted OCCAC Player, Pitcher of the Week In Softball

Ericca Herzog, a sophomore catcher for Owens Community College, and Kailey Minarchick, a freshman right-handed pitcher for Owens Community College, have been voted the OCCAC softball player and pitcher of the week recipients, respectively.

Herzog went 6-for-9 (.667) last week with four runs, two doubles, eight RBI and two walks. She had two hits in each of her team's three games, scored at least one run in all three, and had a pair of four RBI games. Two of her six hits were three-run doubles.

Herzog is hitting .391 with 11 runs, four doubles, one home run, 14 RBI, five walks and three stolen bases this year through 21 games.

Minarchick, meanwhile, tossed a pair of complete game wins. In 12 total innings pitched, she allowed 10 hits, four runs (three earned) and three walks while striking out 12.

Minarchick is 6-5 overall this year with two saves. She has a 1.92 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 65.2 innings.
