Casey Stark and Megan Stech, both of Lakeland Community College, have earned this week's OCCAC softball player and pitcher of the week awards, respectively.

Stark, a freshman catcher/outfielder, went 9-for-15 (.600) with seven runs, three home runs, eight RBI and three stolen bases in four wins last week. She had three hits in two of those games and two in another. Two of her home runs came in an 8-6 win over Notre Dame College JV.

Stark is hitting .556 with three home runs, nine RBI, seven runs and three stolen bases in five games played this year.

Stech, a freshman pitcher, went 4-0 over 18 innings pitched while allowing 17 hits, eight runs (seven earned) and five walks while striking out 14 last week.

Stech is 4-1 overall this year with a 4.38 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 24 innings pitched.

Lakeland is 4-2 overall this year. They will be back in action Thursday against Oakland Community College.
