Steven Beachler Named Head Coach of the new Sinclair Women’s Softball Program

Dayton, OH---Sinclair Community College announces that Steven Beachler has been hired to be the Head Coach of the new Women's Softball program, effective immediately.

Beachler has been involved in coaching softball for twenty-five years at the high school and club levels. Most recently, he was a varsity assistant coach at Miamisburg High School from 1990-2001 and 2007-2012. During this time his teams won 8 league championships, advanced to Sectional and District championships numerous times, and were Regional runner-ups in 1994.

Beachler began coaching in the Miamisburg Civic Youth Baseball/Softball Association where he served as the Girls' League President and Vice-President numerous terms, as well as coach of several All-Star teams.

From 1986-1991, he was the head coach of the Lady Vikes travel team that won the USSSA Ohio State Championship in 1987. He served as assistant coach of several local travel teams from 1993 to 2000 that attended State and National tournaments.

Beachler is honored to be named the Head Women's Softball Coach at Sinclair Community College. "The softball program at Sinclair gives women of the Dayton Region the opportunity to continue their education at a great community college and play softball at the college level. We have many young women in the area who are talented fast pitch softball players. With this talent we plan to put a team together that is competitive and fun to watch. Not only do I want the players to excel on the field, I want them to excel in the classroom and in the community."
