Benton Harbor, MI---Coming off their first loss of the season on Saturday, the Cincinnati State men's soccer team rebounded with a 3-2 overtime victory on the road against Lake Michigan College on Saturday.

Sophomore Liam Doyle, who started the game at forward for the first time this season, recorded his first hat trick of his collegiate career. Doyle opened the Surge scoring in the 25th off a pass from defender Billy Whitcomb. Doyle's second goal came in the 37th. Lake Michigan would rally scoring two goals to force extra time. Doyle would once again provide the answer for the Surge scoring his team leading 8th goal of the season in the 93rd minute. Doyle's final goal was his second game winning goal of the season.

With the win, Cincinnati State improves to 7-1-1 overall with a 6-1 record in Region XII competition. Lake Michigan, a first year NJCAA program, fell to 4-5 overall with an identical record in the region.

The Surge will have a quick turnaround as the team travels to face OCCAC rival Owens Community College on Wednesday.
