Cincinnati State wins 10-0 against Ohio-Midwestern; women fall 2-1 in season finale

Cincinnati, OH---The Cincinnati State men's soccer team beat Ohio-Midwestern 10-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Tyler Gumbert finished with 2 goals and 2 assists. David Elwer also finished with 2 goals. Justin Mitchell, Joe Bradley, Eduardo Zavala, Johnson Mensah, Tyler Washington and Tucker Beerman each recorded a goal. Goalkeeper Hunter Kautz recorded 3 saves in the shutout victory.

On the women's side, Ohio-Midwestern defeated Cincinnati State 2-1 despite being down a player throughout the majority of the game. The loss dropped the Lady Surge to a final overall record of 4-11 on the season.

The Cincinnati State men, who finish the regular season with a 13-5-1 record and Ohio Community College Athletic Conference co-champions, will host Ancilla College in the opening round of the NJCAA Region XII Tournament on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. The game will be held at Xavier University.
