Sinclair Survives Parkland To Earn The Victory

By Brendan Loiacono/Sinclair Sports Information

Sinclair's offense struck first when Centerfielder Jon Lowe tripled to lead off the bottom of the first inning and later scored on a groundball by Drew Williams to put the Pride out in front 1-0. Parkland struck back quick against Pride starter Tyler Sexton in the top of the second inning, scoring two runs and taking the lead.

Two runs proved to be all the Parkland bats could muster against Sexton, as he quickly settled in and tossed four sold innings, giving up five hits and striking out six. Parkland's runs were quickly answered when in the bottom half of the inning, Nick McGill launched a homerun to right field with one out to tie the game at two.

Later in that same inning, with two away, AJ Kruzel scored when Jon Lowe reached on error, giving Sinclair the lead, which they held for the duration of the game. Scott Haag turned in a brilliant pitching performance in relief as he finished off the final three innings of the game.
