A pair of student-athletes from both Edison State Softball and Terra State Baseball have been selected as the OCCAC’s first Spring Athletes of the Week in 2025. Emma Kamerer (position player) and Zoey Hodge (pitcher) are the softball honorees for Edison State while Titans — Carson Klausing and Nick Lukac — combined to toss a no-hitter and are sharing co-Pitcher of the Week honors.
Kamerer went 3-for-5 with a double and five RBI in a doubleheader against Wilmington University JV. She also scored a run, laid down a sacrifice bunt and recorded three put-outs at second base.
Hodge took to the circle in both contests, including a 7-inning win in Game Two. In total, the freshman chewed up 10 innings, striking out three batters and recording three assists.
Klausing got the start at Clark State, blanking the Eagles for four innings before handing it off to Lukac for the final three frames of a 7-inning contest. The Titan tandem combined to strike out 10 of 26 batters faced, allowing just five baserunners (4 BB, HBP). The no-hitter proved necessary as well with Terra State escaping with a narrow 1-0 victory.
