Lindsey Koenig and the Owens Volleyball team are riding a 6-match winning streak, including sweeps over conference foes Terra State and Clark State during the week of Sept. 11-17. Koenig’s performance in those two victories have led to OCCAC Player of the Week recognition.
The freshman out of Minster, Ohio, was responsible for 5.00 points per set after totaling 23 kills, eight blocks (two solo) and two aces in six sets played. She opened the week by bouncing 13 kills at a .346 clip with three blocks at Terra State before coming back with a .435 attacking percentage and 10 kills, five blocks vs. Clark State. For the week, Koenig registered a .388 attacking percentage with 23 kills on 49 attempts with just four errors.
