
Edison State Softball added to its impressive accumulation of OCCAC Weekly honors during the 2025 season, snagging the final two laurels. Ashlyn Chatterton earned her first Player of the Week recognition while Zoey Hodge completed a season bookend — both opening and (March 3) and closing (May 5) the season as the conference’s Pitcher of the Week.
Chatterton went 7-of-8 with two doubles, three runs and five RBI during three wins for the Chargers. She was a perfect 4-4 with two doubles and four RBI in the OCCAC title-clinching doubleheader sweep over Terra State.
Hodge blanked the opposition for 10 innings across a pair of 5-inning complete games. She gave up just six hits and three walks while striking out a total of nine batters.
Edison State, along with co-champions Cuyahoga, begin postseason play on Thursday, May 8.
