Cuyahoga’s Kyle Koehler and Mikayla Rash both snagged OCCAC weekly recognition for April 1-7, and were joined by Katie Hoffa (Hocking) and Jackson Smith (Lakeland). Hoffa and Koehler are the softball and baseball position players of the week while Rash and Smith put forth the best pitching efforts.

KYLE KOEHLER | Cuyahoga
Baseball Player of the Week
Koehler connected on a double in all four games against Clark State, adding 11 RBI and a homerun to push Cuyahoga past the Eagles in three of four contests. The sophomore DH also scored six runs of his own while amassing a 1.810 OPS by going 7-of-12 with two walks and the aforementioned extra-base hits.

JACKSON SMITH | Lakeland
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Smith was a wizard in blanking Lorain County during a 7-inning shutout, making pitches disappear with 14 strikeouts in the truncated tussle. He worked his way around four hits and four walks to post the seven goose eggs.

KATIE HOFFA | Hocking

Hoffa went a perfect 6-for-6 in a split doubleheader versus Edison State. She clubbed a double and a triple to slug 1.500. Hoffa also posted three RBI, including two in the 4-1 victory. This marks her second OCCAC honor of the season, also named the Player of the Week on March 11.
