Final Weekly Hoops Awards Go to Conference Champions

OCCAC titles are accompanied by Player of the Week accolades for three student-athletes in the final week of the regular season (Feb. 24-March 2): Treshawn Cody (Hocking) and Devonte Greene (Cuyahoga) share the men’s weekly award in-line with their programs earning OCCAC co-championships while Edison State’s Allison Hughes capped off the Charger’s title-clinching regular season with the seventh weekly recognition of her career.

This represents the fourth Player of the Week distinction this season for all three honorees. Cody now owns six in his career, and Greene comes in with his fifth career and fourth in the last eight weeks of this season.

Cody and Greene both posted consecutive double-doubles in securing two wins and a league trophy. The pair also shot 61% from the field, including north of 40% from beyond the arc. Cody averaged 27.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game, flanked by 29.0 points and 17.0 rebounds from Greene.

Hughes joined the double-double party, posting 15 points and 13 rebounds in a 69-54 victory over Cuyahoga. She added three assists, three steals and a block in 34 minutes of action.
