Trio Recognized for Stellar Efforts This Week

The Hocking tandem of Katie Hoffa and Alexia Spangler are joined by Clark State’s Jackson Duncan as the OCCAC’s Player/Pitcher of the Week for baseball and softball (March 4-10).  

KATIE HOFFA | Hocking
Softball Player of the Week
Hoffa compiled 11 hits, including three doubles, with a .440 batting average during a busy 8-game week for the Hawks. She directly accounted for seven runs, scoring five and driving in two more. Hoffa added two walks for an OPS of 1.041.

ALEXIA SPANGLER | Hocking
Softball Pitcher of the Week
Spangler took to the circle four times, eating up 16 innings of work. She made three starts, earning the win in all three. The freshman opened with a gritty 5-inning win versus Bryant & Stratton (WI) as the Hawks came away as 3-2 victors.

JACKSON DUNCAN | Clark State
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Duncan blanked #12 Kellogg for five innings in an impressive early season start. He struck out 10 batters while allowing just six baserunners (4 BB, 2 H).
