Treshawn Cody is now the three-time reigning OCCAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after his latest award-worthy performance included a 45-point outburst at Delta College. He is joined this week by Mia Hurst of Owens Women’s Basketball and her 26-point, 14-rebound double-double against Oakland Community College.
Cody has stacked up five OCCAC weekly accolades in his career. In a 98-86 win over Delta, he converted on 15-of-22 (68%) shot attempts, including 3-of-7 (43%) from beyond the arc. Cody added a dozen at the charity stripe and tacked on four steals, an assist and block to his impressive box score.
Hurst ignited an Express offense that cracked the century mark in a triumphant 114-95 shootout with Oakland. She made eight field goals and drilled all nine foul shots en route to her 26 points. Hurst facilitated as well, dishing out seven assists while playing all 40 minutes.
