Brandon Cramer (Clark State) and Doriana Hastings-Peterson (Cuyahoga) each elevated their basketball teams to victory with big-time individual performances, earning OCCAC Player of the Week recognition.
Cromer went wild in a double OT win over UC Clermont, dropping in 44 points by converting 15-of-26 field goal attempts (58%), including four 3-pointers, and knocking down 10 foul shots. The sophomore guard also recorded five rebounds and two assists while playing 45 minutes during the thrilling 136-129 triumph.
Hastings-Peterson did it all in the Triceratops’ conference W over Lorain County — posting 18 points and five assists offensively and a half dozen steals on the other end of the floor. She snared eight rebounds as well in 36 minutes played. Hastings-Peterson shot 54% (7-13) from the floor.
