For the third consecutive month and third time through the season’s first seven weeks, Chelsey Farris was voted as the OCCAC Player of the Week. The sophomore dominated in Lorain County’s two wins and posted impressive numbers overall for the week of Sept. 26 – Oct. 2.
Farris accounted for 6.3 points per set, including north of seven points per set in the pair of league victories. She terminated 55 kills overall on 128 attempts with 13 errors, good for a .328 hitting percentage. Farris excelled on both sides of the night, too, also getting up for 14 total blocks with seven of the solo variety. The middle blocker got back and chipped in eight digs as well.
Her hot start to the ’22 campaign now boasts Player of the Week recognition on August 22, September 12 and October 3.
