Best Ballers of Week 10

Kailah Johnson (Edison State) and James Moore (Hocking) each guided their squads to a pair of wins last week, efforts which earned them OCCAC Player of the Week recognition for January 10-16, 2022.

Hocking College
Moore dropped in 48 points in two league victories, scoring 22 versus Clark State and 26 more at Bryant & Stratton (OH). The freshman forward knocked down 20-of-30 (67%) field goal attempts, including 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 6-of-7 (86%) at the foul line. He also hauled in 17 rebounds while divvying a half dozen assists. Moore took care of the basketball as well, committing a lone turnover in 61 minutes played.

This represents his second weekly honor of the season (previously won on December 20).

Edison State Community College
Johnson snags her second award in the last three weeks and third overall this season (also honored on December 6 and January 3). She lifted the undefeated Chargers to 15-0 with two road triumphs last week. Johnson averaged a double-double (26.0 points, 11.0 rebounds), and tacked on four assists, three steals and two blocks. She was deadly from long range, netting 8-of-16 (50%) three-point shots.
