Cuyahoga and Terra State men’s soccer played to a 2-2 draw early in the week, and then both teams were represented in the OCCAC co-Players of the Week announced to end the week. Amit Mahat (Cuyahoga) and Owen Powell (Terra State) combined to score nine points on the pitch to earn the conference recognition.
Mahat netted a goal in both matches for the Triceratops, including the game-winner of a 1-0 triumph over St. Clair County.
Powell worked his way to eight shots in two matches, putting four on frame and sending a pair to the back of the net. In the 2-2 stalemate with Cuyahoga, he was a part of both goals — scoring the first in the 67th minute before assisting on the Titans’ second goal (89”). With a goal against Jackson as well, Powell completed the week with five points in hand.
