Brooke Gyori, a freshman defensive specialist for Owens Community College, has been named the OCCAC Player of the Week in women's volleyball.
In four matches, Gyori totaled 74 digs, including 33 against No. 18 St. Clair County Community College and 23 against Columbus State Community College. She also totaled seven assists and eight service aces.
Gyori has 716 digs, 61 assists, 76 service aces and 14 kills for Owens (32-6 overall, 13-0 OCCAC) this year.
Gyori and her teammates will host Clark State Community College today before closing conference and regular season play at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College on Friday.

This is the second OCCAC player of the week award for Gyori this season. She also won on Sept. 20.
