St. Henry, Ohio---Ally Mikesell, who starred at St. Henry High School, has signed with the Express women's volleyball program.

The 5'9" middle blocker was First Team All-Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC), First Team All-District 8 and First Team Division IV All-Ohio as a senior.

As a junior, Mikesell was First Team All-MAC, Second Team All-District 8 and Third Team Division IV All-Ohio.

While being coached by Diana Kramer, Mikesell excelled as a multi-position player as she saw time at middle blocker, defensive specialist, setter and outside hitter. Academically, she was an A, B honor roll student.

"Ally brings a lot of athletic ability and volleyball experience to the team," said Express women's volleyball head coach Sonny Lewis. "She has won numerous awards, has a great work ethic and is a great all-around person. We're looking for her to make an immediate impact on the team."

Mikesell will join the Express following the departure of her former high school teammate, Kenzie Kleinhenz, who is an outgoing sophomore.

Mikesell is the second freshmen signee for the Express volleyball program as she joins Amara Hemenway of Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Ohio.
