Coldwater, Ohio---Erika Hartings, a right side hitter from Coldwater High School, has signed with the Express women's volleyball program.

In doing so, she becomes the third member of next year's freshmen class, which already includes Ally Mikesell (MB, St. Henry/St. Henry, Ohio) and Amara Hemenway (MB/Bellevue/Bellevue, Ohio).

"Erika is another player that we are very excited about coming to Owens," said Express volleyball head coach Sonny Lewis. "We like her ability on the right side, her work ethic and that she is a really good person. She will do very well here at Owens."

Hartings was a four-year varsity starter for the Coldwater volleyball program, which won a district championship this past season. Individually, Hartings was named First Team All-Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) and Second Team All-District 8 as a senior. She participated in the District 8 All-Star Game, as well.

She was coached by Mike Etzler at Coldwater, while achieving honor roll status academically during her junior and senior years.

Aside from volleyball, Hartings is also a standout bowler, as she won an individual state championship in 2013, while also helping to lead Coldwater to Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) team state championships in 2012 and 2013.
