Columbus, OH---Paige Brady, a freshman outside hitter/middle blocker for Columbus State Community College, has been named the OCCAC player of the week.

It is the final POW award in volleyball for the 2013 season.

"Paige has proven to be a consistent force in 2013 literally playing every position in the front line," said Columbus State head coach Jaclynn Yocum. "She is a high efficiency, low error type of attacker and has mastered a lot of different shots and tools in her offensive game. She has a tough serve and is a strong defensive player for the Cougars as well."

Brady totaled 35 kills in three overall matches last week, including two OCCAC matches. Her best match was a 14 kills, one assist game against Lorain County on Oct. 25. She also had 13 kills against Owens on Oct. 26.

The award is the second of the season for Brady, who is fourth in total kills (135) and first in attack percentage (.458) in OCCAC play.
