Columbus State's Brady Earns Second OCCAC POW Award

Columbus, OH---Cierra Brady, a sophomore libero/defensive specialist for Columbus State Community College, has been named the OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week.

The award, for the week ending Sept. 30, is Brady's second of the season. She also won on Sept. 2.

Brady had 96 digs in wins over Vincennes University, No. 18 South Suburban College, Triton Colle and Danville Area Community College.

"Cierra continues to lead the team with her consistency in the back row and helped the Cougars go 4-0 this week," said Columbus State head women's volleyball coach Jaclynn Yocum.

Brady has 538 digs this year, which is fourth in the nation. She also has 173 digs, which is first in OCCAC play. Her digs per set overall (7.47) is first in the nation.

Columbus State is currently 20-3 overall and 7-0 in OCCAC action. They have won 13 straight matches.
