Columbus State's Brady Earns Season's First OCCAC Volleyball Player of the Week Award

Columbus, OH---Cierra Brady, a sophomore libero for Columbus State Community College, has been named the first Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) Player of the Week award winner this season.

It marks the second time Brady has won the award in her career, as she also won it once last season. In fact, she won the season's first award, as well, last year.

As of today, Brady leads the OCCAC in digs with 254 and digs per set at 7.47. Nationally, Brady ranks fifth in the nation in overall digs and second in digs per set. She was named to the Oakland CC Block City All-Classic team to open the season.

She had a season-high 34 digs against Grand Rapids on Aug. 31, while also adding 31 digs against Muskegon on Aug. 30. She has produced double-digit digs in every match this season.

Brady and her teammates are currently 8-3 overall and 1-0 in the OCCAC. They will host Lakeland Community College tonight at 6 p.m. before hosting Cuyahoga Community College tomorrow at 11 a.m.
