Dayton, OH---Sinclair Women's Volleyball finished the OCCAC Conference season with a match to remember as they pushed the OCCAC Regular Season Champs and the 17th ranked team in the nation to 5 games.

Owens opened up the game with a quick 5-0 lead before the crowd even had a chance to get settled in.  The express held the lead until Sinclair tied game one at 18 and thus started an epic battle between the two ranked teams.  Owens entered the match ranked 17th and the Pride was receiving votes in the Top 30 as both teams took turns making small runs at the other.  The Pride was able to pull out a late victory but had to go a little extra as they needed 26 points in game one.

Game two went to the Pride in much of the same way, Owens jumped out early only to see Sinclair fight their way back to take a late lead and hold on to go up 2-0.

Owens pulled out wins in the next two games as they had their backs against the wall on the road.  Players going head to head and even both coaches pulling everything out of their coaching bags.  The match could not have been any closer with no real big lead and every point being strongly contested.

Finally in the fifth and deciding game, Owens was able to win a couple of outstanding points late to open up the narrowest of margins and hold to take game 5 and the match 3-2.
