Elyria, OH---On Oct. 6, the Lorain County Community College Volleyball team hosted its first-ever quad match. Participants included club teams from John Carroll University, Ashland University, and Cleveland State, along with the host, Lorain County CC.
The event was a fundraiser for the family of local coach Jim Muth, who is recovering from severe injuries suffered in an auto accident last fall.
Muth has been a mainstay in the Lorain County coaching ranks, coaching at Firelands High School, and various JO clubs in the area.
The event raised over $400 to help the family defray travel and meal costs during Coach Muth's recovery.
