Reshardd Harris of Sinclair Community College and Carli Codner-Pinto of Columbus State Community College have been named the OCCAC Player of the Week recipients for the week of Dec. 14-20.

Harris, a sophomore forward, helped Sinclair Community College picked up two tough conference wins and remain undefeated on the season by averaging 25 points, nine rebounds, two assists, 1.5 steals and one block per game.

In a 90-87 win over Columbus State on Dec. 15, Harris had 23 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Then, in an 82-75 win over Owens Community College on Saturday, he produced 27 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.

Maybe most impressively, Harris combined to shoot 23-for-32 from the field to raise his season field goal percentage to 65.9 percent.

Overall, Harris is averaging 21.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game for Sinclair, who are now 12-0 overall and 2-0 in OCCAC play. They will host Wittenberg University JV tonight at 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, Codner-Pinto almost single-handedly led Columbus State Community College back from a 19 point deficit entering the fourth quarter in an 81-77 win over Sinclair Community College in her team's lone game last week.

The freshman guard totaled 28 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists. She finished 9-for-22 from the field, 5-for-11 from three point range and 5-for-8 from the free throw line.

In the fourth quarter alone, Codner-Pinto had 16 points on 5-for-7 shooting. She went 3-for-3 from three point range and made three of her four foul shot attempts in the quarter, as well.

At one point, she scored 15 of her team's 21 points during one stretch in the quarter. To cap the run, and with her team down 71-70, Codner-Pinto hit a free throw, made a three pointer and converted a layup to put her team up 76-73.

Codner-Pinto is averaging 14.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game this year for Columbus State, who are 5-7 overall and 2-0 in OCCAC. They will be back in action Jan. 6 at Lakeland Community College.
