Ingram's Double-Doubles Lead To OCCAC Player of the Week Honor

Aysah Ingram, a freshman center for Owens Community College, has been named the OCCAC women's basketball player of the week.

Ingram averaged 15 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks per game in wins over Muskegon Community College and Oakland Community College.

In the 69-59 win over Muskegon on Nov. 4, Ingram totaled 12 points, 16 rebounds, two steals and three blocks. Ten of her rebounds came on the offensive glass, and she finished 8-for-18 from the field. In the 94-91 win over Oakland, she had 18 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one block.

Ingram has three double-doubles in four games for Owens this year, which has helped the team jump out to a 3-1 start. She is averaging 10.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

Owens will be back in action tonight with a home matchup against Kellogg Community College.
