Parr, Harley Win OCCAC Player of the Week Honors (Jan. 25-Feb. 1)

Westley Parr and Sierra Harley have been named the OCCAC player of the week selections in men's and women's basketball, respectively.

Parr averaged 25.5 points, eight rebounds and two steals per game for Sinclair Community College last week. 

The sophomore forward led Sinclair to a pair of wins over Edison Community College and Lorain County Community College by shooting a combined 19-for-34 overall and 13-for-18 from the foul line. His 30 point game against Lorain County was a season-high.

In 22 games this year, Parr is averaging 18.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He is shooting 53.6 percent from the field.

Sinclair (13-9 overall, 3-5 OCCAC) will host Cincinnati State Technical and Community College Wednesday.

Harley, meanwhile, averaged 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, eight assists and six steals for Owens Community College in wins over Lorain County Community College and No. 16 Cincinnati State Technical and Community College last week.

The freshman guard opened the week with 15 points, nine steals, six rebounds and six assists in an 88-37 win over Lorain County.

Following that, her triple-double led Owens to an 89-70 win on the road over Cincinnati State. She had 22 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals.

Harley is averaging 15.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game this year for Owens. She has helped lead the team to a 22-1 start, including 22 straight wins, while shooting 53.1 percent from the field, 43.4 percent from 3-point range and 75.3 percent from 3-point range.

Owens (7-0 OCCAC) will travel to Cuyahoga Community College on Wednesday.
