Davis, Dunlevy Win OCCAC Player of the Week Honors (Jan. 19-25)

Mike Davis and Brooke Dunlevy have been named the OCCAC player of the week selections in men's and women's basketball, respectively.

Davis, a 6'3" sophomore guard for Lakeland Community College, averaged 26 points per game while leading his team to wins over No. 18 Owens Community College and No. 12 Cincinnati State Technical and Community College last week. He finished a combined 18-for-33 from the field, including a 6-for-13 finish from 3-point range. He was also 10-for-12 from the foul line while averaging 1.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game.

Against Cincinnati State, Davis had a career-high 30 points in a 97-82 win. Against Owens, he had 22 points.

Lakeland is 14-5 overall and 5-0 in OCCAC play. Davis is averaging 19.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals per game.

Dunlevy, a 5'8" freshman guard for Edison Community College, averaged 29 points. 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and two steals per game over three games last week, including her team's first two wins of the season.

In a non-conference win over Ohio Northern University JV on Monday, she had 28 points on 9-for-20 shooting from the field and a 10-for-13 finish from the foul line. It was her team's first win of the season. Then, in a loss to Cincinnati State, Dunlevy had 33 points on 10-for-24 shooting and a 12-for-15 finish from the foul line. Finally, in a win over Lorain County Community College, she had 26 points on 4-for-14 shooting, but she went 18-for-25 from the foul line.

Dunlevy is averaging 18.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game this year for Edison, who are 2-14 overall and 1-4 in OCCAC play.
