Coleman, Harley Win OCCAC Player of the Week Honors (Dec. 29-Jan. 4)

Marvin Coleman and Sierra Harley have been named the OCCAC player of the week selections in men's and women's basketball, respectively, for the week of Dec. 29-Jan. 4.

Coleman, a sophomore guard from Lorain County Community College, poured in 41 points to lead his team to a 91-87 win over Sinclair Community College in the OCCAC opener for both teams. He finished 13-for-23 from the field, 5-for-7 from 3-point range and 10-for-11 from the foul line in the game. He also added seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block.

Coleman is Lorain County's (10-4, 1-0 OCCAC) leading scorer at 19.3 points per game this year. He also averages 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. 

Harley, meanwhile, led the Owens Community College women's basketball team to an 89-57 win over Mott Community College on the road. She scored 23 points on a perfect 9-for-9 performance from the field. She also went 3-for-3 from 3-point range and 2-for-3 from the foul line and had four assists, three rebounds and two steals in the win.

Harley, a freshman guard, is averaging a team-high 15.8 points, along with 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, for Owens (15-1 overall), who will open conference play at Sinclair Community College on Saturday.
