Manny Powell and Maura Hackney have been voted the OCCAC player of the week selections in men's and women's basketball, respectively.

Powell, a freshman guard for Sinclair Community College, poured in 39 points on 15-for-23 shooting in a 117-73 win over Southern State Community College last week. He added seven assists and four rebounds while also shooting 7-for-14 from 3-point range.

Powell is averaging 15.9 points per game this year for Sinclair (9-4 overall).

Hackney, a sophomore forward from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, had 18 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in a 65-59 win over No. 2 North Iowa Area Community College on Sunday. She finished 7-for-12 from the field and 4-for-5 from the foul line.

Hackney is averaging 14.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for Cincinnati State (8-5 overall).
