Kevin Jenkins and Ashley Tunstall have been named the OCCAC player of the week selections in men's and women's basketball for games played between Dec. 1-7.

Jenkins, a freshman forward for Lorain County Community College, averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds over two games last week. In an 82-76 loss to Henry Ford, Jenkins had 17 points and 10 rebounds. In a 92-83 win over Westmoreland County, he had 15 points and 14 rebounds. He finished 11-for-22 from the field and 10-for-12 from the foul line last week, as well.

Jenkins is averaging 12.6 points and 11.7 rebounds per game for Lorain County (7-3). His team will be back in action Dec. 14.

Tunstall, meanwhile, is a sophomore forward for Owens Community College. She produced 24 points, 13 rebounds (six offensive), five steals and one assist in an 80-56 win over Mott Community College last Wednesday.

Tunstall, who has led Owens to a 9-1 start, is averaging 13.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.1 assists per game this year.
