Lady Surge fall to No. 2 ranked Walters State on the road

Morristown, TN - The Cincinnati State women's basketball team had its 3-game winning streak snapped after a 71-56 loss on the road to Walters State Community College on Wednesday.

Walters State, which is ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA Div. I national poll, improved to 15-0 with Wednesday's victory.

Cincinnati State's Emily Fite finished with team highs in points (20) and rebounds (12). Fite was the only Cincinnati State player to score in double figures.

The Lady Surge, who are ranked No. 17 in the latest NJCAA national poll with a 7-3 record, will conclude their road trip in Tennessee on Thursday against Roane State at 2 pm.
