Lady Surge continue success on road with 83-62 win over Moraine Valley

Palos Hills, Ill.---The Cincinnati State women's basketball team won on the road on Friday night, beating Moraine Valley Community College 83-62.

The Lady Surge, who improved to 5-1 on the road with Friday's victory, were led by sophomore guard Hannah Stephenson.

Stephenson led all scorers with 19 points, making 7 of 10 field goals. It was Stephenson's best offensive performance of the season. She also finished with a game high 6 assists. 

Forward Chelsea Paddy led the team in rebounding with 9 to go along with 12 points. Freshmen Emily Fite and Phylicia Johnson chipped in with 11 points each as the Lady Surge improved to 6-2 on the season.

Cincinnati State continues its weekend road trip on Saturday against South Suburban College. Cincinnati State beat South Suburban in the opening game of the season by a score of 74-39. Saturday's tip-off is scheduled for 2:30 pm.
