Cincinnati State women win regular season finale, will host Edison Community College in district semifinals

Cleveland, OH---The Cincinnati State women's basketball team snapped a 2-game losing streak with an 80-30 road win over Cuyahoga Community College in the regular season finale on Saturday.

With the score 30-19 at the start of the second half, Cincinnati State went on a 15-2 run to pull away to a decisive victory.

Kindsay Brandt led three double-digit scorers for Cincinnati State, finishing with 15 points, 5 assists and 7 steals. Cameron Vaughn recorded 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 steals. Freshman Alexus Chinn finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Cincinnati State finishes the regular season 24-6 overall with a 9-3 record in Ohio Community
College Athletic Conference play. Cincinnati State, which is a 2nd seed in the upcoming district tournament, will host Edison Community College in the semifinals on Friday at 1 pm.

Cincinnati State is this year's host site of the men's and women's district semifinals and finals which will be held on March 8th and 9th.
