Three players finish with double-doubles in Cincinnati State's 88-40 win over Lakeland

Cincinnati, OH---Desiree Ash, Cameron Vaughn and Samantha Paratore each recorded double-doubles as Cincinnati State beat Lakeland 88-40 in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon. 

Ash, who currently leads the team in scoring, finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Cameron Vaughn recorded 17 points and 16 rebounds.

6'4 sophomore Samantha Paratore finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Alexus Chinn, a Princeton High School graduate, led the Surge defense with 7 steals to go along with 9 points and 11 rebounds as Cincinnati State won its fifth straight game. 

Lakeland, which fell to 0-8 in conference play, was led by Tierra Martin's 15 points and 6 rebounds. 

As a team, Cincinnati State held a 31-1 advantage in points off of turnovers and outscored the Lakers 22-0 in second chance points. 

Staying on top the OCCAC with a 7-1 record and improving to 22-4 overall, Cincinnati State will return to action at home on Wednesday to face Columbus State Community College. Columbus State handed the Lady Surge their only conference loss earlier this season 70-63. Wednesday's game is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
