Lady Surge fall on the road to Columbus State

Columbus, OH---The Cincinnati State women's basketball team suffered its first conference loss of the season 70-63 against Columbus State on Wednesday night.
 
Columbus State's Karis Watts led the way for the Cougars with a game high 23 points. For Cincinnati State, Cameron Vaughn finished with 16 points and a season high 24 rebounds.
 
As a team, the Surge out-rebounded Columbus State 61-38 but were unable to overcome 18 turnovers, resulting in a 15-7 deficit in points scored off of turnovers.
 
Now at 17-4 with a 3-1 record in the OCCAC, Cincinnati State will return home on Saturday to face Cuyahoga Community College at 1 pm.
