Lady Surge earn 88-75 victory over Kankakee

Peoria, IL---The Cincinnati State women's basketball team beat Kankakee Community College(IL) 88-75 in the second round of the Illinois Central College Holiday Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Cincinnati State's Desiree Ash led all scorers with 25 points. Cameron Vaughn finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Guards Hannah Stephenson and Grace McDougall each finished with 17 points. Stephenson recorded a game high 12 assists.

Bouncing back from Friday's loss to Kirkwood Community College, Cincinnati State converted 77% (20/26) of their free throws and shot 47% from the field.

Improving to 12-2 overall, Cincinnati State will conclude the tournament on Sunday at 12 PM CST against the winner of Kishwaukee v. South Suburban.
