Vincennes, IN---The Cincinnati State women's basketball team lost 60-57 to Vincennes University (IN) in the final game of the Vincennes Trailblazer Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The loss marked Cincinnati State's first blemish on their previously undefeated season.

Down by as many as 12 in the second half, the Lady Surge went on a late run to narrow the gap, which led to two unsuccessful 3 point attempts in the final possesion to tie the game. Kindsay Brandt led the Surge with 14 points followed by 12 points from Hannah Stephenson.

"The ladies played hard to get us back in the game. We had multiple chances to win from the free throw line. A poor shooting performance from the line and few bounces going against us ultimately led to our downfall," Head Coach Sonya Beeler said.

The 7-1 Lady Surge will have nearly a full week of practice before traveling to take on Olive-Harvey College (IL) on Friday, Dec, 14 in the opening game of the South Suburban College Tournament in South Holland, Illinois.
