Toledo, OH---Emma-Jean Ricketts nearly had a double-double as she led the Express women's basketball team in a 73-49 win over Glen Oaks Community College in the SHAC today.

The sophomore finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, one assist, three steals and a career-high three blocks.

It was also the eighth double-digit scoring game of the season for Ricketts, who is now averaging 14.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. She finished 9-for-13 overall from the field, 1-for-1 from 3-point range and 2-for-2 from the foul line.

Ricketts and the Express defense held the Vikings to 13 first half points as they led 38-13 at the break. Then, they stretched their lead to 62-24 with 7:29 remaining before the Vikings finished the game on a 25-11 run to make it seem closer than it actually was.

Uniqua Mitchell added 10 points, five rebounds (four offensive), three assists, two steals and two blocks off the bench, while Bailee Adams scored a career-high eight points. She made her first start of the season.

Nandi Taylor had a game-high seven assists, while Danielle Bezeau added six points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in 17 minutes.

Madison Pellow led the Vikings with 14 points, six rebounds and four steals.

The Express improved to 8-3 with the win. Their next action will be Dec. 15 at Miami Dade College beginning at 5:30 p.m. The game will be held in Miami, Fla. and marks the beginning of a three game stretch in Florida for the Express.
