Lady Surge Improve To 3-0 With Win Over Wayne County

Cincinnati, OH---The Cincinnati State women's basketball team beat Wayne County Community College 92-61 on Saturday afternoon to stay undefeated, improving to 3-0 on the season.

Sophomore Cameron Vaughn led the Lady Surge with 22 points, 17 rebounds and 3 steals. Grace McDougall, a freshman point guard from Queensland, Australia, finished with 17 points,
going 6 for 9 from the field. Alexus Chinn, a graduate of Princeton High School, led the way defensively with 4 steals to go along with 11 points. Despite a 1 for 8 shooting performance, Desiree Ash drew multiple fouls, getting to the line and converting 7 of 8 free throws to finish with 10 points and 9 rebounds.


The Surge outrebounded Wayne County 63-38, an advantage the Surge have earned in all three games played.

Cincinnati State will return to action after the Thanksgiving holiday with a 12-game road stretch beginning with Roane State on Nov. 27. The team will not return home until after the new year on January 8th against Ivy Tech.
