Sonya Beeler earns 64-49 victory in her Cincinnati State coaching debut

Cincinnati, OH---Head Coach Sonya Beeler's Cincinnati State debut was a successful one as her team won 64-49 against the club team from Ohio State University.

Freshman point guard Hannah Stephenson led all scorers with 13 points and 7 assists. Sophomore Cameron Vaughn finished with a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Alexus Chinn, a graduate of Princeton High School, finished with 10 points and 8 rebounds.

The Lady Surge won the rebound battle 47-32, making up for -4 differential in the turnover category.

The Lady Surge will return to action at home on Friday against Pikeville University at 5:30 pm.
