Mitchell scores twice in win over Lakeland

 
Cincinnati State sophomore Justin Mitchell scored two goals in the Surge's 4-0 win over conference rival Lakeland Community College on Saturday.
 
Tyler Gumbert, who returned after missing three games due to an ankle injury, opened the Cincinnati State scoring in the first minute of the game. Mitchell scored his fifth and sixth goal in the 5th and 40th minute, helping to give his team a 3-0 lead at halftime. Joe Bradley, who scored the team's final goal, finished the game with a goal and an assist. As a team, Cincinnati State out shot Lakeland 13-2.
 
Improving to 7-3 overall with a 1-1 record in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, Cincinnati State will return to action on Sunday in another conference match against Cuyahoga Community College.
