No. 8 Express Men's Basketball Rolls Past Macomb Community College 90-65

Macomb, Mich.---John Murry (North Central/Indianapolis, Ind.) led four players in double figures as the No. 8 Express men's basketball team routed Macomb Community College 90-65 today.

Murry led a hot-shooting Express team with 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting, including a 2-for-3 finish from 3-point range. As a team, the Express shot 35-for-69 (50.7 percent), including a 20-for-38 (52.6 percent) finish in the first half.

Andy Bachman (North Side/Fort Wayne, Ind.) got all of his 15 points from 3-point range (5-for-8), while Bikramjit Gill (Our Ascension of the Lord/Toronto, Ontario, Canada) added 13 points.

Antoine Benford (East English Village/Detroit, Mich.) was the fourth player in double figures for the Express. He had 12 points and five rebounds - all on the offensive glass.

The Express finished 10-for-19 (52.6 percent) from 3-point range as a team. While Bachman made half of those 10, Murry and Tony Boykins(Loy Norrix/Kalamazoo, Mich.) each had two each.

Martez Asberry (Douglas Academy/Detroit, Mich.) led the Express in rebounds with six, while Markese Allen (Crockett/Detroit, Mich.) had a team-high four assists.

Macomb was led by Keith Phillips, who scored 25.

The Express, who led 50-27 at halftime, are now 6-2 overall. They will take a three-game winning streak into their matchup against No. 2 Mott Community College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the SHAC.
