Tom Jackson leads Surge to win over Sinclair on sophomore night

Cincinnati, OH---Winston Grays and Tom Jackson led Cincinnati State to an 91-82 victory over Sinclair Community College on Wednesday night, clinching a home game in the 1st round of the District Tournament.
 
Playing in his last regular season home game for Cincinnati State, sophomore Tom Jackson finished with 19 points, 7 assists and 3 steals. Winston Grays finished with 25 points to lead the team in scoring.
 
Helping Cincinnati State earned a 31-10 advantage in second chance points was Chrisean Marsden, who finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds.
 
Despite the loss, Sinclair's Gavin Schumann led all scorers with 24 points, converting 12 of 22 field goals.
 
Cincinnati State, which is now 19-8 and 6-5 in conference play, will have a 10 day period before concluded the regular season at Cuyahoga Community College on March 2nd.
 
The opening round of the District Tournament will be held on March 5th.
