Lakeland stays undefeated in conference play with 107-97 victory over Cincinnati State

Cincinnati, OH---Lakeland Community College beat Cincinnati State 107-97 to improve to 8-0 in the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference on Saturday afternoon.
 
Lakeland, which is currently ranked No. 11 in the NJCAA national poll, had four players finish with 20+ points. Deran Banton led all scorers with 29. Charles Oliver, who hit a 3 pointer to give the Lakers an 8 point lead with 2:30 remaining, finished with 25 points. Chaz Rollins came off the bench to finish with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Martell Medley converted 8 of 11 field goals to finish with 20 points.
 
Cincinnati State, which fell to 3-5 in the OCCAC, was led by 25 points from Devonte Smith. Chrisean Marsden finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds despite being limited to 17 minutes due to foul trouble. Tom Jackson finished with a game high 9 assists to go along with 14 points.
 
Falling to 16-8 overall, Cincinnati State will return to action Wednesday at home against conference rival Columbus State at 7:30 pm.
